Your vision, John's artistry

Whether you’re drawn to the serene beauty of a traditional landscape or the bold energy of contemporary abstracts, John can create selected pieces. Abstracts can be tailored to requirements and John works with each client to understand their vision, space and personal aesthetic preferences. Specific landscape scenes available on commission include Wycoller, Pendle Hill and Wuthering Heights.

Initial consultation

Abstract scenes are created from the artist’s imagination, simply choose your colour scheme and dimensions. Landscape paintings on this website which are marked ‘available by commission’ are painted by John to order. The painting will be created for you and will be very similar to the one shown on the website, but not identical as no two paintings are exactly the same.

Agreement & deposit

Once the commission details are agreed, we require a 50% deposit to secure your place in John's schedule.

We accept bank transfer to our UK business bank account and we will provide our bank details over email.

Creation

John begins work on your piece. We will give you an indication of how long this is likely to take when you contact us by email to order your painting. Commissions typically take at least 4 weeks to complete, depending on how many commissions John is currently working on. You should also allow shipping time.

Completion & delivery

You'll be notified when your piece is ready. The remaining 50% balance is due upon confirmation of safe receipt. Your painting will be packaged, shipped and tracked using a reputable national/international courier service such as DHL or Fedex. We will just need you to confirm your delivery address and the courier company will provide you with the tracking details.

Can you work from photographs or specific locations?

John's scenes are painted mostly from his artistic imagination rather than directly copying photographs.

How can I commission a bespoke painting?

Paintings marked 'available by commission' are painted by the artist to order. These are bespoke pieces created specifically for you. To order a painting by commission please contact john@corcorangallery.co.uk or liz.corcoran@ymail.com.

How long does a commission take?

This will depend on how many commission orders John is currently working on. We will give you an indication of this when you contact us by email. As a guide you should allow at least 4 weeks plus postage/shipping time.

I have purchased a painting, can I reproduce it to make cards or prints?

Unfortunately not. The copyright of each painting in part or in full belongs entirely to the artist, John Corcoran and his immediate family.
